Here we are continuing in our walk through Elijah's life. I’m thinking, here’s guy who’s got a lot of momentum in his life. Things are kind of going pretty well for him. Jezebel should be afraid of Elijah. He just called down fire from God. But instead, Jezebel, this queen, starts to threaten his very life. Only days earlier, Elijah was unstoppable. He ran 16 miles next to a chariot. Only days earlier, he was running with faith, and now, he was running with fear. Elijah was a pretty powerful man, I mean, he was trash talking the other prophets. Remember he was doing the whole, “Where are your gods now? Maybe they are asleep. Maybe they are relieving themselves,” and now he’s running at the threat of one woman.
