Every year Miss Freddie and her ministry Keeping Hope Alive set up outside and have a Thanksgiving dinner on the street. The holiday Thanksgiving is an American tradition inspired by the Pilgrims in the 1600's who with the Native Americans had a feast to give thanks to God for his bountiful blessings in the new world after much death and hardship from previous years. We were truly blessed to have gospel music artists Wayne and Gina Stewart and Michael Ray donate their time and talent as well as many volunteers to list who served food, cooked cleaned and set up for this event.
